Application: piezoelectric vibration transducer
Ultrasonic transmitter transmits ultrasound in a certain direction. At the same time, it starts timing. Ultrasound spreads in the air. When it encounters obstacles on the way, it returns immediately. When the ultrasonic receiver receives the reflected wave, it stops timing immediately. The propagation speed of ultrasonic wave in air is 340m/s. According to the time t recorded by the timer, the distance (s) between the transmitting point and the obstacle can be calculated, that is, s = 340t/2. This is the so-called time difference ranging method.
The principle of ultrasonic ranging is to use the propagation speed of ultrasonic wave in the air as known, measure the time when the acoustic wave meets the obstacle after launching, and calculate the actual distance from the launching point to the obstacle according to the time difference between launching and receiving. Therefore, the principle of ultrasonic ranging is the same as that of radar.
